You probably saw this guy Charlie Isoe’s work in JUXTAPOZ or whatever art blog/magazine you got your thirsty little eyes on, but earlier today I took a minute to check this berlin based Australian artist’s website out and I can’t tell whether I love his photos or drawings more. It’s not just one or two of his works im impressed with, I’m impressed with each one of his images. I would hang any of them on my wall.

sunrise in echo park

I usually hit the snooze button about 12 times before I actually get my feet on the floor to start my day. But sometime last week I woke up and jumped out of bed faster than I think I ever have. I woke up to my room glowing bright pink. It was so surreal that I thought I was still dreaming. I walked out on my balcony, saw the sky and quickly photographed it. I know a beautiful sunrise is so cliché to say is the most beautiful thing to see but it really is. When you see something so beautiful  like this it could cure you of any unhappiness you might feel in your life. It was so powerful that I wanted to scream and wake up my roommates so that they could see what I was seeing. But instead I just sat there that morning alone. More awake than I have felt in a long time.

im so scared that one day i might feel like i never reached my fullest potential in life. i fear being an old alone unhappy women. i fear that im making the wrong decisions all the time. im scared that i will feel confused and lost my whole life. i fear someone breaking into my house at night. im scared of the future and the decisions ill be forced to make in life. i fear that if i dont control my fear that fear will be the death of me.
